Children and Young Families

The children’s ministry of Broadmoor Baptist Church is a place where children in the 1st-5th grades are encouraged to know, love, and follow God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Sunday Morning

Sunday School: Bible study is offered for all age groups, infants through 5th grade. This age-appropriate Bible study time occurs each Sunday morning. A variety of curricula are used that age-group leaders have deemed best for the spiritual growth of the children they teach.

Children’s Choirs: An excellent church music program is available for preschoolers, kindergartners and grades 1-5.  These choirs meet Sunday mornings following Sunday School, 9:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m.

Childcare is available for infants-kindergarten children in their Sunday school classrooms during morning worship.

Wednesday Nights

  • Chapel Bells: A hand bell choir for grades 2-5 that meets in the bell room beginning at 6:00.

  • Missions Education: In our missions education classes, children learn about missionaries and the important work they do around the globe. We offer classes for preschoolers, kindergartners, and grades 1-5 for both boys and girls. These groups meet every Wednesday night of the school year from 6-7 p.m.

Child care is provided for infants-2 year-olds during midweek and for infants-5th grade during the Sanctuary Choir rehearsal.

Special Events

We also have a number of special events that occur throughout the year:

  • Music Camp: In this week-long, full-day program children learn songs, drama, and choreography, create a stage, and perform a biblical themed musical.

  • Vacation Bible School: Vacation Bible School is a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn more about Jesus in a fun-filled atmosphere.

 Young Adult Ministry at BBC

Our Young Adult ministry is focused on University Students, Young Singles and Young Married Couples.

  • The University Ministry is tailored to work around the busy schedules with which students have to contend. Bible studies and fellowships, unique in approach, are offered occasionally with regard to the time limitations and interests of students.

  • While many of the Singles at Broadmoor Baptist are investing themselves in ministry through leadership roles, all Singles are involved in study and activities that are intended to mainstream them with the church as a whole.

  • Young Marrieds enjoy ample opportunity for involvement in ministry to others, as well as in the fellowship and study that encourages and supports them. When children become a part of the family, young couples receive attention from the Children’s Ministry as well.  Working in harmony with the Children’s Ministry, the Young Adult Ministry seeks to nurture the family in a broad variety of ways.

  • Opportunities for Bible study and social events are defined by current needs and availability of the population.
