Spiritual Formation

Many of the facets of spiritual formation are seen here at Broadmoor; Sunday morning, Wednesday night, and other weekday Bible study opportunities encourage life-long faith development.

Spiritual formation is the process of being shaped in the image of Christ by the gracious working of God’s Spirit, for the transformation of the world. — CBF Spiritual Formation Task Force, 2004

  • The journey of following Christ involves the acknowledgement that our salvation and transformation come through God’s initiation of grace.
  • Vacation Bible School, Women’s Bible studies, Women’s Christian book studies, small group studies and a variety of other educational programs foster spiritual growth.
  • The Sunday morning Bible study classes provide a strong base for biblical knowledge in a small group setting. Classes for infants through high school students are developmentally appropriate. Adults may choose from a variety of classes determined by age group, curriculum, or other study interests.
  • Active mission organizations for preschoolers through adults teach God’s message and how it is shared with others.
  • Hands-on mission opportunities are presented for all ages.
  •  Small group ministries allow new members to open a door to friendship and growth.
